digicam diaries #06 | taos
on sunday we finally took a little mini road trip up to taos! despite the gas prices and despite how much we have been trying not to spend any money this year, it was very much needed!! while reading megan o'grady's how it feels to be alive, i learned that agnes martin has a permanent installation in the harwood art museum there. so naturally, i was super eager to see it.
at the museum, it was the last day of an installation about the GI bill and how taos became a big place for abstract art and art schools back in the day. pretty cool!
the agnes martin chapel was absolutely amazing. did not photograph particularly well with the nikon coolpix (indoor lighting and all that), but that's all right. it was beautiful.

we also stopped so i could try to photograph this extremely cute small stone church on the side of the road on the way home. sadly, it is fully fenced around - at an excessive distance, if you ask me! - and not accessible. so this was a zoomed in photo, but still worth it.
